THE SOUND OF PROGRESS: The 2008 flood forced the School from its longtime home in the Voxman Music Building. After eight years, the School will move to its new home in the fall of 2016. MP&C is proud to be a key partner in refreshing the School’s brand and marketing to align with its beautiful new facilities.

BUILDING A BRAND FROM THE GROUND UP: A group of realtors approached MP&C about starting a new company. We named the new business, developed foundational brand attributes and messaging, and then created a website, print ads, digital ads, movie theater ads, signage, and much more.

University of Iowa College of Education

INTEGRATED MARKETING: This project was a fully integrated marketing campaign including strategy, brand promise, brand attributes, tagline development, college and campus-wide focus groups, meetings with admissions, the foundation, alumni directors, and the UI VP for strategic communications. MP&C conducted a communications audit and, by request, did an assessment of communications personnel, looking at the structure of the team and making recommendations to fill needs. We also created a discovery document outlining the strengths and weaknesses of the College’s programs with accompanying messaging. From there, MP&C created anew college logo, tagline and design. We also created a brand portfolio for the in-house team outlining logo usage, fonts, messaging, photography, and more. We then led the web team in an overhaul of web content, structure and design, creating a responsive website that integrated key messaging, social media, success stories, and more. MP&C also wrote and designed the annual report, redesigned the college magazine and developed the editorial to launch the new brand. We also developed a rebrand launch plan that included college and campus events, email blasts, posters, banners, and more. As part of this effort we developed a microsite that hosts rebrand templates for business cards, powerpoint, stationary, and much more, making it accessible to faculty and staff.

CIMBA ITALY

INTEGRATED MARKETING: This project was a fully integrated marketing campaign that involved not only providing marketing, strategy, and creative leadership for a study abroad, MBA, and executive program in Italy, but also helping strengthen CIMBA’s ties to more than 35 U.S. affiliate institutions. We traveled to Italy to implement our discovery process and conducted competitive analysis and a message matrix. We also conducted a communications audit and, by request, did an assessment of communications personnel, looking at the structure of the team and making recommendations to fill needs. As part of our process, we recommended CIMBA add the word Italy to its name and helped them restructure the names of existing centers and institutes to highlight distinctions students said they valued. Additionally, we conducted online surveys with key audiences including U.S. advisors, Italian executive students, and alumni. Using the new-found strategy, we developed a full brand execution, including anew mobile friendly website that integrated key messaging, social media, success stories, and more. We also developed a brand guide and have continued to provide consulting on everything from U.S.-based audience presentations to strategic planning and more.
